  • exfoliate your face every other night with a muslin cloth and face wash; inexpensive, non-toxic, gentle and effective
  • apply kohl to eyes at bedtime for longer lashes and better vision
  • exfoliate your lips with a muslin cloth
  • moisturise your face at bedtime
  • avoid applying coconut oil to your face
  • file nails every two weeks
  • exfoliate your body with exfoliating gloves and body wash; again, inexpensive, non-toxic, gentle and effective
  • give your skin a break from makeup for at least a week. let your skin breathe.
  • rinse your face with tepid water only in the mornings
  • use a siwak at least once a day
  • wash your hands before touching your face
  • paint your nails during menstruation
  • apply blackseed oil or coconut oil to hair/scalp at least once a week and keep it in there for 2 days before washing
  • include fresh vegetables in at least one of your meals daily. your skin will thank you.
  • use sunscreen twice or thrice a day
  • drink a glass of water immediately upon waking up. your body is dehydrated. you need it.
  • pamper your skin with a face mask once a week
  • start your day with a smoothie: spinach, banana, apple or pear, water and honey. everyday, simple ingredients plus it is delicious.
  • use a good lip balm. Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour cream is a lifesaver. another great one is the Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm.
  • make your own perfume by mixing a few drops of your favourite essential oil and water in a spray bottle. spritz away into tranquility
  • sip on a glass of water every hour and a half. the frequent visits to the ladies room is worth it.
  • try squeeze in a workout every other day for 10-30 minutes. Sweating is detoxifying.
  • drink tea with a modest teaspoon of honey and oat milk
  • take an epsom sea salt bath once a month with a candle
  • wash your lingerie by hand – in the shower to save time
  • rinse your hair/scalp once in a while with an apple cider vinegar and water concoction
  • avoid processed meats
  • indulge in the fruits of the earth, literally provided by God; figs, peaches, Sukkari dates, apples, mangoes, raspberries…
  • get 7-8 hours of sleep
  • drink coffee with coconut palm sugar and oat milk. fresh coffee, not instant because gross
  • dry your face with kitchen paper, not towels
  • wear red lipstick once in a while around people you’re comfortable with. or even if you’re by yourself
  • eat out once every 2 weeks. that way not only do you save money but it is good for your body and when the time comes for you to eat out, you can eat like a baller
